Privacy & Cookies

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Rent Cooperstown LLC operates RentCooperstown.com. This notice explains how information is used when you browse, contact us, subscribe, or arrange a stay. Questions or privacy requests: RentCooperstown@gmail.com.

Information we use

When you contact us or book, we use the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, requested dates, guest count, messages, and booking information, to respond, administer your stay, collect payments, and maintain business records. Please do not send payment card details by email.

Our website and service providers also process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, and error or security logs.

Website analytics and your choices

Squarespace hosts this website. Its analytics can report aggregate traffic and referral information. Non-essential Squarespace analytics cookies are currently restricted, and the individual visitor activity log is disabled. Counts without persistent cookies can overcount unique visitors.

We have created a Google Analytics 4 property, but its website tag is currently paused while consent controls are being configured. OwnerRez Google Analytics, Google Ads, Tag Manager, and Facebook pixel tracking are not enabled in our account. We will update this notice when optional tracking is activated.

You do not need to accept optional analytics to view our homes or make a booking. Where prior consent is required, optional tracking will require an affirmative choice before activation. Where analytics may run without prior consent, we will provide a way to object before activating it. No advertising pixels or remarketing tools are being added as part of this configuration.

For privacy requests or objections to optional analytics, email RentCooperstown@gmail.com. You can also manage cookies in your browser. Google offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Optional Google tracking is currently paused for all visitors.

Booking, payments, and security

OwnerRez supplies our availability and booking tools. Information you submit through them is processed to provide quotes, manage reservations, communicate with you, and administer payments and rental agreements. Necessary booking, session, preference, and security technologies may be used so these services work. Payment processing is handled by the payment provider used at checkout.

Squarespace forms may use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse. It can process device and interaction information for security. Some pages embed Google Maps through Embedly and load Adobe web fonts. These providers receive technical information when their content is requested. External services have their own privacy practices, and their cookies are not all controlled by Squarespace.

Providers and external links

We use service providers for website hosting, reservations, payments, email, and security. They receive the information needed for their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect guests, our business, or the service. Google Search Console, if connected, provides search performance reports rather than installing a visitor tracking tag.

Read the providers’ notices: Squarespace, OwnerRez, and Google. Links to maps, social media, or other websites take you to services governed by their own notices.

Retention, requests, and updates

We retain reservation, payment, and correspondence records as needed to manage stays, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Retention varies by record type and provider. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. Email us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity and may retain records where required.

Our booking services are intended for adults arranging travel, not for children to submit personal information. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. We will revise this notice when our practices or tracking configuration change.
